Friday, December 24, 1943 pg. 12 Funeral services were conducted Thursday at the Short-Murray Chapel for Mrs. C.A. Mears who died at her home Monday, 1712 W. Morton street. Rev. Guy Newman officiated with interment at Fairview. Mrs. Mears was born and reared in Troy, Alabama, coming to Bremond, Texas, at the age of 16 years with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harve Edwards. She and Mr. Mears were married in Bremond January 6, 1907, and moved to Howe several years later. They came to Denison in 1921. Mrs. Mears was a member of the First Baptist church and the Reflector Sunday school class of that church. Survivors are the husband; 4 daughters, Mrs. Bert Parkes, Miss Mary Ruth Mears and Miss Wanda Jean Mears, all of Denison; and Mrs. Carl D. Whetstone of Norfork, Arkansas; 2 brothers, J.E. Edwards of Sherman and J.M. Edwards of Caddo, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Mrs. L.J. Butler of Howe, and 2 grandchildren. Richard E.
