Funeral services were held at St. Luke's Episcopal church Thursday, October 11, for Mrs. Sarah Dorothy Higginson, 83, who died at her home, 1002 W. Morton, Wednesday,
October 9, after a week's illness.  Rev. O.D. Reed conducted the services and interment was in Fairview cemetery.
Mrs. Higginson was born in Clearfield, Pennsylvani, May 13, 1867, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Maurer.  She received her education in Clearfield, and was married there in 1893 to John L. Higginson, Sr.  She was a member of the Episcopal church.
Survivors include one son, John L. Higginson, Jr. of Blytheville, Arkansas; 2 brothers, Will Maurer of Ellensburg, Pennsylvania; and Harry maurer of Akron, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. George Loder of Horsehead, New York; and 2 grandchildren.
