Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Short-Murray chapel with Rev. Guy Newman for Sterling H. Evans, who died in a Denton hospital Saturday afternoon.  He lived on route 2, Denison.  Death came following an accident.  Interment was in Fairview.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. T.w. Evans and was born January 31, 1889 in Hamilton, Texas.
He was married to Miss Sarah Ann Stokes June 25, 1916 in Hamilton and of late had been operating a truck.  He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow; a son, James Thomas, Denison; and five daughters, Mrs. R.T. Mosley, Mrs. Eugene Schleuse, Miss Edith, Miss Mozelle and Miss Faye Ruth Evans, all of Denison.
Brothers are Ernest, Los Angeles; C.W., Stephenville; and Lem of Hamilton.  Sisters are Mrs. Callie Bell, Denison; and Miss Cora of Tyler.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.
