Friday, February 3, 1956 pg. 5 Funeral services were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Friday afternoon for John E. Reynolds, Sr., 64 year old Pottsboro resident, who died in a local hospital Wednesday, The Rev. Preston Bryan officiated and interment was in Fairview cemetery. Mr. Reynolds was injured in an automobile accident just north of Denison two weeks ago, which was believed to have caused him to suffer a heart attack. He was hospitalized a week. Mr. Reynolds was a retired signal maintenance man for the Katy railroad. He was a member of the Pottsboro Baptist church and the Pottsboro Masonic Lodge. He was born in Coleman, Texas, April 17, 1891, the son of Mr. and Mrs. G.R. Reynolds. He was married in Madill, Oklahoma August 1930 to Eliza Mae Chiles. Survivors are his wife; one son, John E. Reynolds, Jr., U.S. Air Force, stationed in Germany who was flown home for his father's funeral; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Blankenship, Sherman; three brothers, V.M. and Bill of Denison and Green Reynolds of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. G.H. Butcher, Denison and Mrs. Sally Perry, New Mexico; and three grandchildren.
