The Gazetteer regrets to announce the death of Lee Betis, the 4 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Luetweiler at their home, No. 806, West Gandy Street, Saturday night, the 24th.  The immediate cause of death was membranous croup.
Lee Betis was a beautiful child, the sunlight of a happy home.  Around his future clustered the fondest hopes of a doting father and mother.  His death is a sad blow to them and they are almost heartborken at the visitation that has desolated their home.  The funeral was held from the house Monday afternoon and the interment was at Fairview cemetery.  There was a large number in attendance to give expressions of sympathy.  The dead child sleeps beneath a bed of flowers, and Lee Betis left behing him a memory as fragrant with all the sweet amenities of life as the flowers which were spread by loving hands upon their darling's grave.
