November 10, 1991 Denison-- Dorothy "Janey" Yeargan, 69-year-old retired field director for the National Red Cross and a resident of Denison, died Saturday in Texoma Medical Center. Services will be held at 1:30 pm. Monday in Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Keith Boone will officiate, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Yeargan was born in Denison, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Burrows and married Raymond Yeargan on Jan. 4, 1958. She was a member of Parkside Baptist Church and had been a substitute teacher for the Denison Independent School District. Surviving are her husband; sons, William Melvin Yeargan of Denton and Raymond Melvin Yeargan Jr. of Denison; daughter, Sammie Amys of Denton and Beverly Diane Norris of Denison; brother, Jack Burrows of Denison; sister, Donna Waddelow of Sherman; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jess Potter, Paul Lacey, Kenneth Burget, James Reese, Bill Parker and Matt Simmons. The family will be at the funeral home from 4 to 5 p.m. today. Survivors include her husband; two sons, William of Denton, and Raymond Jr. of Denison; two daughters, Sammie Amys of Denton and Beverly Diane Norris, Denison; brother Jack Burrows of Denison; sister, Donna Waddelow of Sherman; and eight grandchildren.
