Friday, November 10, 1944 pg. 6 Funeral services were conducted Wednesday for Mrs. Nancy Jane Tatum following her death in a local hospital Tuesday. She had been ill for several years. Interment was at Fairview. Mrs. Tatum, who had lived here 13 years, was born in Gatesville, May 16, 1888, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Franks. She received her schooling in Gatesville and was married there May 20, 1906 to L.T. Tatum, a railway mail clerk. The couple moved to Waco where they lived until coming here in 1939. Mr. Tatum died here January 15, 1942. Mrs. Tatum was a member of Waples Memorial Methodist Church and the Railway Mail Association auxiliary. Surviving are 2 sons, W.C. and L.I. Tatum, both of Denison; 2 daughters, Mrs. R.L. McMahan of Sherman; and Mrs. Carl Babb of Denison; a brother, Sam Bailey of Cisco; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Amanda Court of Proctor; Mrs. J.W. Rhoads of Waco; and Mrs. M.O. Standard of Abilene; and 7 grandchildren. The Tatum home is at 1330 West Main.
