Friday, April 7, 1950 pg.8 Funeral services were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Saturday for J.W. Ruminer, 78, former Denison resident, who died at his Houston home last Tuesday. Burial was in Fairview cemetery. Rev. W.O. Bucy, pastor of Trinity Methodist, officiated. Mr. Ruminer was born in Arkansas, May 1, 1871, and came to Honey Grove as a young man. He worked for the Singer Sewing Machine Company for many years, coming to Denison in 1914 and living here until he went to Houston in 1936. The body was sent by rail from Houston for funeral services and burial here. He is survived by his widow; 2 sons, Ross and Joe Ruminer of Houston; 4 daughters, Mrs. C.G. Lacy, Mrs. W.L. Roberts, and Mrs. Carroll Alexander of Houston; and Mrs. P.H. Hall of Dallas; and 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
