Friday, February 20, 1959 Funeral services for Clyde Rothner, 65, were held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church Monday morning at 9 o'clock. Msgr. Thomas Zachery officiated and interment was in Fairview Cemetery with Johnson-Moore Funeral directors in charge. Mr. Rothner died in the Katy Employees Hospital Friday, Feb. 13, at 12:45 a.m. His home was at 312 N. Fifth Avenue. He was born in Sedalia, Mo., Dec. 1, 1893, the son of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Rothner. He came to Denison with his parents at the age of 5 and attended public schools here. He started to work for the Katy in 1916 as yard clerk at Ray Yards. He worked there five years and moved to Oklahoma City where he continued to work for the Katy as brakeman. He remained there 10 years, then moved to Coffeyville, Kans., where he worked as switchman for 32 years. He was married July 19, 1938 to Nellie Sandlin in Denison. He retired and returned to Denison in 1954. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Church, and the B of RT. He is survived by his widow, Denison; two daughters, Miss Bettie Rothner, San Mateo, Calif., and Mrs. Francis Renfroe, St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Harry M. Rathner, Syracuse, N.Y., and Ted J. Rothner of Glendale, Calif; six sisters, Mrs. Irene Phillips, Muskogee; Mrs. Lillian Schendel, Tulsa; Mrs. Helen Finkles, Houston, and Mrs. Thelma Maher, Mrs. Kathryn Furlow and Miss Margaret Rothner, all of Denison, and three grandchildren.
