Friday, November 27, 1931 R.W. Lewin To Be Buried Here Saturday Funeral services for R.W. Lewin, who died here Wednesday afternoon, will be conducted Saturday afternoon from the Waples Memorial Church. Services will be in charge of Rev. O.T. Cooper, pastor of the Waples church, assisted by a former pastor, Rev. Finis A. Crutchfield, of Wichita Falls, and Rev. Homer T. Fort of Sher man. Arrangements are in charge of Short-Murray. Interment is to be made at Fairview. Deceased was for more than 30 years connected with the Waples-Platter Co., and at the time of his death was vice-president of the company. He was an indefatigable worker for Denison and its religious and civic interests. He was among those who have made Denison and the ranks of such are becoming all too thin. Friday, February 22, 1952 pg. 4 Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at Waples Methodist church for Miss Myrtle McConnell, 81, who died in a local hospital Saturday morning after a month's illness. Dr. H.C. Henderson and Rev. Ed Bayless preached the funeral service and interment was in Fairview cemetery with Bratcher-Moore funeral directors in charge. Miss McConnell was born in Weston, Missouri, June 2, 1872, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McConnell. She was educated in Weston and at Baker College, Baldwin, Missouri. She resided in Lawrence, Kansas before coming to Denison 16 years ago. Survivors are one sister, Mrs. R.W. Lewin, and a niece, Mrs. John D. Gleckler, 915 W. Gandy, and a nephew, R.F.
