Funeral services for J.F. Hogg, 72, were conducted August 7 from the Johnson-Moore chapel with Rev. Jessie Adams in charge and Johnson-Moore conducting.  Burial was at Fairview Sunday.
Hogg, who was born in Denison August 3, 1887 died at Wichita Falls.  He had been in ill health for 18 months. 
The family home was at 923 W. Nelson.
He was married in Roff, Oklahoma, February 22, 1923, to Miss Edith Feller.  He retired from the Katy in July 1945.  He was a member of Waples Methodist church and the
Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
Survivors include his widow; one son, Dr. James Hogg of Ann Arbor, Michigan; one daughter, Mrs. Woodrow Williford of Hyattsville, Maryland; one brother, R.H. Hogg of Nash, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Martin Honey of Ft. Worth and Mrs. Charlotte Dollarhide and Mrs. Pauline Pearce, both of Dallas; and 2 grandchildren.
