Funeral services for Mrs. Walter Smith, 72, were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Thursday afternoon with Rev. Duke Barron, pastor of Waples Memorial Methodist church, officiating.  Interment was in Fairview cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died at her home early Wednesday morning after an extended illness. She was a native of Cooke county, and was born August 22, 1881, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Booker Wilson.  She had lived in Denison 67 years.  She was an active member of Waples Methodist church and the Womens Society of Christian Service; the Womens Benefit Association and the National Postal Transportation Association auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Smith, 624 W. Crawford; and a sister, Mrs. Henry Capelle.
