Mary K. Davis 18 December 1898 - 15 July 1977 Denison - Services for Mrs. Mary K. Davis, retired co-owner of the Hyland-Davis Floral Shop in Denison, who died Friday at a Savoy nursing home, was held Tuesday morning in St. Luke's Episcopal Church here, conducted by Rev. James Garrard of Sherman. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery.
Born in Denison, she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kiker and married R. Gordon Davis in 1941 at Denison. The couple owned and operated the Hyland-Davis Floral Shop for 30 years. Mrs. Davis was graduated from Denison High School and Austin College and attended Grayson County College and Southern Methodist University. She also studied music at Hockaday Girls School in Dallas. She was a member of the Elks Club, the Soroptimist Club, the 21 clubs, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Texas State Florists Association. Survivors include her husband; brother, Winston Kiker of Denison; and sister, Mrs. Norman Cowan of Houston. Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells had charge of arrangements.
