Friday, February 3, 1956 pg. 5 Funeral services for Mrs. J.M. Bartee, 83, resident of Denison for more than a half a century, were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Monday morning with the Rev. Duke R. Barron officiating. Interment was in Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Bartee had lived at 709 W. Morgan for many years. She died Friday at the home of her sister, Mrs. A.D. Barnes in Bell, Tennessee. She was born in Chestnut Bluff, Tennessee on Christmas Day 1872. She was married first to C. Lindemood, a Katy conductor who died in 1911. She later married J.B. Bartee, operator of the Central Fuel and Feed Company here for many years. He died in 1940, and Mrs. Bartee continued to operate the business until ill health forced her to retire. She was a member of Waples Memorial Methodist church, the Order of Eastern Star, and the ORC. She is survived by one son, Walter Lindemood, San Francisco, California; two sisters, Mrs. Barnes in Bell, Tennessee and Mrs. John Haggerty, Brownsville, Tennessee; two brothers, Leslie Moore, Marion, Indiana and John Moore, Brownsville, Tennessee.
