Friday, February 12, 1954 pg. 2 Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3:30 at Bratcher-Moore chapel for Mrs. Maud Hulen, 78, native of Denison, who died in a local hospital Saturday after a month's illness. Rev. Ronald Prince officiated and interment was in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Hulen was born in Denison, January 1, 1877, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bickel. She received her education in Denison schools and was married here in 1897 to Willard Hulen, Katy conductor who died in 1938. She was a member of the Church of Christ Scientist. Surviving are one brother, Clarence Sample, of Dallas; and two nieces, Mrs. Bertha Rasberry of Fort Worth and Mrs. Lilan Green of Crestview, Florida.
