MRS. LOVINA WOOD, an Old Denisonian, Dead
Mrs. Lovina Wood, 100 years old, died Sunday morning at 1 o'clock at her home, 1530 West Woodard St.
All but one of her living children were with her when the end came.
Mrs. Wood celebrated her 100th birthday anniversary last November with a family reunion.  Ever since that time she has been confined to her bed except at intervals when her strength would permit her to sit up and talk with her children and friends.
She was born in Gallia County, O., November 22, 1822, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Ripley.  She married James Wood in 1847.  Mr. Wood served in the Union army in the Civil War and on his return the couple moved to Iowa in 1865.  They came to Denison in 1888.  Mr. Wood died seven years ago at the age of 94.
