Thursday, August 5. 1937 HUGO KOEPPEN FUNERAL HELD THURSDAY MORNING Funeral Services were conducted Thursday morning for Hugo Koeppen, who died Tuesday afternoon late following a stroke. Services were held at the Short-Murray chapel with Rev. B. J. Deeney officiating. Interment was at Fairview with Short-Murray directing. Pall bearers were Ralph Miller, Frank Waltz, Leo Waltz, John Heimburger, Con Corcoran, B. W, Baldwin. In the passing of Hugo Koeppen, this column has lost another of is ideals as a good man in Denison. When we first came to Denison thirty-five years ago, Hugo, as an employe of the firm of Chris Waltz, handler our wiring and plumbing business. He impressed us as a clean, quiet, unobtrusive citizen. His ways were always pleasant and his paths inspired peace. He sold himself to his business and every detail of the work was at his immediate command. Denison indeed has lost one of its fine builders, and business men, lodge and civic workers.
