Sunday, January 6, 1889 pg. 2 CHRONOLOGICAL RECORD OF LOCAL EVENTS In Denison For The Year 1888 Oct. 19 - Chas. B. Green, the postal clerk who was paralyzed a couple of weeks ago, died. The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, October 21, 1888 pg. 6 Jno. P. Green, of New York City, father of Charlie Green, the postal clerk who was paralyzed Saturday last, arrived in the city Tuesday, to be present at his son's bedside. LOCAL CONDENSATIONS The unfortunate postal clerk, Charlie Green, who was struck with paralysis Saturday, is very low, and chances of his ever recovering again are remote. The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, October 28, 1888 pg. 1, 6 The Death Roll The funeral of the late Chas. B. Green took place last Sunday afternoon, from the First M.E. Church, the services being conducted by Rev. Mr. Corkbill. Notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather, the funeral procession was a very lengthy one. The remains were interred in Fairview Cemetery Card of Thanks Mrs. Alice Green, widow of the late Chas. B. Green is desirous of returning thanks, through the Gazetteer, for the kindness extended by all toward her during the great bereavement, she has just passed through, and says the warm sympathy of Denison generally helped greatly to soothe her almost unbearable grief.
