Friday, December 30, 1955 pg. 3 A military ceremony and last rites of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen were accorded Guy E. Wilson, 60, at Fairview cemetery Saturday afternoon, following funeral services at Bratcher-Moore chapel. Rev. J.D. Ross, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, preached the funeral service. Burial was in Fairview. Mr. Wilson died Thursday, December 22, twenty-two days after he suffered fatal injuries in a car-truck collision on Crockett Avenue on December 1st, Safe Driving Day. Mr. Wilson died at the Katy Employees Hospital. He was injured and hospitalized when the car in which he was a passenger collided with a truck driven by Charles Melvin Kitchell, 26, of Kansas City. Mrs. Wilson, 44, who was driving the car, and Kitchell were uninjured. Mr. Wilson was born in Denison December 28, 1894, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Wilson. He was educated in Denison schools. His wife is the former Emma McBride. He had been employed as a switchman for the Katy for 36 years. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include a step-son, Willie Joe McBride, Oklahoma City; 4 sisters, Mrs. W.H. Turley and Mrs. G.J. Overturf, Denison; Mrs. C.C. Owens, Sherman; and Mrs. Clyde Hartley, San Bernardino, California; and several nieces and nephews.
