Friday, December 21, 1956 pg. 5 Funeral services were held at Bratcher chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 for Mrs. J.W. Garrett, 85, who died at her home Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. after 3 years of illness. Rev. Wayne Imboden conducted the service and interment was in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Garrett lived on Route 1. She was born in Dadeville, Alabama March 15, 1871, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Adair. She was married April 8 , 1896 to J.W. Garrett. They lived in Littlefield before coming to Denison. Mrs. Garrett was a member of the First Baptist Church of Littlefield. Survivors are one son, James A. Garrett, Littlefield; 2 daughters, Mrs. Sred Walker, Denison; and Mrs. E.G. Oliver, Littlefield; a brother, George Adair, Dadeville, Alabama; 4 sisters, Mrs. Ada McKelvey, Mrs. Sallie McKame, Mrs. Tempy Green and Mrs. Era Freeman, all of Dadeville; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
