Friday, July 20, 1956 pg. 4 Funeral services for John Taylor Fowler, 80, who died at his home at 913 W. Rice, July 16, at 2:05 p.m. were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Wednesday with Rev. A.W. Waller and A.L. Williams officiating with burial by Bratcher-Moore at Fairview cemetery. Mr. Fowler was born January 15, 1876 in Huntsville, Arkansas and married in Dallas July 2, 1936. Mr. Fowler was a retired collector for a furniture store in Dallas. He was a member of the Assembly of God church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. J.T. Fowler; 3 stepsons, O.P. Pool and Ivey R. Pool, Shreveport, Louisiana; Cecil R. Pool, Big Spring, Texas; 3 step-daughters, Mrs. Thelma Canady, Austin; Mrs. Jewell Sudduth, Irving, Texas; Mrs. Juanita Bostick, Big Spring, Texas; 2 brothers, Labe Fowler, Denison; and Mallah Fowler, Decatur, Texas; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Dove Parker, Denison and Mrs. Myrtle Stegall, Grover City, California.
