Betty Jayne McKean Finnell 9 October 1958 Deanna Lynn Stepken 4 July 1962 - 17 November 2018 Deanna Lynn Stepken, age 56, entered into eternal life Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Denison, Texas.
She was the daughter of the late Terry Dean Stepken and Wanda Jane Hurley Williams. Deanna was born July 4, 1962, in Denton, Texas. Deanna received her LVN at Cooke County College. Deanna worked with oncology and AIDS patients, hospital patients, nursing home and most recently as a pediatric home health nurse. Deanna was a born caregiver and spent her life doing what she loved most, caring for her patients, her family, and her friends. Deanna made her home in Denison. She is survived by her wife of 19 years, Bettye (BJ) Finnell, daughters, Erin Ellis (Tim Gipson) of Sherman, and Caitlin Morton (Tyler) of Cibolo, and the true lights of her life, her grandchildren: Riley, Connor, and Jayce who knew her as Gran. Deanna is also survived by her mother, Wanda “Jane” Williams of Sherman; brothers, Gregg (Amber) Williams, Derrick (Nancy) Williams, Shelby Stepken, and sisters, Alicesun (Tim) Michael, and Jennifer (Jackie) Parker and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Ronnie William A Celebration of Life Service for Deanna will be held at Noon Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Colleen Darraugh officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Fisher Funeral Home. Deanna supported and volunteered with many charities and organizations over the years and the family requests that memorials be made on her behalf to support the nursing program through the Grayson College Foundation 6101 Grayson Drive, Denison, Texas.
