Friday, December 30, 1955 pg. 3 Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Skinner Caruth, 92, of 705 W. Munson, were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Christmas eve at 4:30 p.m. with Jim Swafford of the Church of Christ, and Rev. Raymond D. Laver, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. Interment was in Fairview cemetery with Bratcher-Moore in charge. Mrs. Caruth died in Dallas December 23 after 5 months of illness. She was born in Denton County, Texas, January 31, 1863, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Skinner. She was educated in Denton schools and married R.P. Caruth December 24, 1884. He died in 1924. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are 4 sons, Clark Caruth of Denison; Leslie of Kansas; Tom of Odessa; and Charlie of San Angelo; 4 daughters, Mrs. H.C. Cox, Dallas; Mrs. H.L. York, Brownsfield, Texas; Mrs. Doug Purcell, Alamagorda, New Mexico; and Mrs. R.R. King, Denison; 33 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
