Jean Isaacs Brotherton of Denison, Texas passed away peacefully
surrounded by her family, Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Homestead of
Sherman.
Wilda was born July 25, 1937 in Honey Grove, Texas the daughter of John Edward and Ruby Pearl (Holland) Issacs. She married Donald Ray Brotherton, June 26, 1955 in Durant, Oklahoma. Wilda began her work career at Perrin Air Force Base. Then continued at R. C. Can Company (that later became Boise Cascade and then the final name change to Sonoco) from where she retired in December 1997. She was a member of Central Church of Christ. Wilda is survived by her family, daughters, Debbie Foltermann and husband, Mark; Vicki McMenamy and husband, Stan; grandsons, Brian W. McMenamy, Daniel Foltermann, and Raymond Foltermann all of Denison; great grandchildren, Alex Foltermann, and Danae Foltermann; brother-in-law, Richard Smith of Mesquite, TX; along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Donald Brotherton, her son, Donald Brotherton, Jr., her parents, and her brother, John “Sonny” Isaacs. Jr. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Father Randall Fogel officiating. Family and friends will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Fisher Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Alzheimer’s Association, Heart to Heart Hospice (600 E. Taylor St., Sherman, TX) or your favorite charity in her memory. Thanks to the staff of Homestead of Sherman and Heart to Heart Hospice for her excellent care over the past five years.
