Friday, February 6, 1953 pg. 4 Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Funderburk Funeral Home for Absalam C. Chorn, 81, resident of Hendrix, Oklahoma, for 35 years, who died at his home Sunday at 6:40 p.m. Rev. B.N. Ramsay, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated and interment was in Fairview cemetery. Chorn was born in Missouri, April 6, 1871. He was a farmer. Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Helen C. Yetts and Mrs. Ruth C. Brown, both of Dallas; 2 brothers, Sam Chorn, Bakersfield, California and M.C. Chorn, Denison; and one half-brother, Louis Orendoff, Lockhart, Texas; one sister, Mrs. R.B. Derebery; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charlie Brown, Clyde Brown, Carl Odom, Claud Derebery, Willie Derebery and Tommy Derebery.
