Friday, June 10, 1949 pg. 2 Military funeral services were conducted Saturday morning for Bruce F. Riley, 33, of 510 east Heron, who died at his home on June 2, after one day's illness. The Rev. B.C. Brown, pastor of Calvary Baptist church was the officiating minister for the services which were conducted at the Bratcher-Moore c chapel. Interment was in Fairview with the American Legion officiating. Deceased was born in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, February 11, 1916, and was educated in Pennsylvania schools. He was married to Miss Roxie Harlow in Denison in 1943. He lived in Jacksonville before moving to Denison. He was a freight clerk for the K.O. & G. railroad at the time of his death. He was a member of Calvary church and the American Legion. He served in the United States Air Force at Ft. Sam Houston, Kelly Field and Perrin Field and was discharged in September 1945. Deceased is survived by his widow; one stepson, Dale Melton Johnson; two brothers and four sisters.
