Doll Lenderman Watson, 95, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus Thursday, January 16, 2020, in Sherman, Texas.
Mrs. Watson was born April 2, 1924 in Denison, Texas, daughter of William Martin and Ollie Looper Lenderman. She was a highly educated, intelligent and beautiful woman. Mrs. Watson leaves behind her daughter, Linda Barker, of Riva, Maryland; and extended family and friends. Doll was preceded in death by her husband and son. Graveside service was held Wednesday morning, January 22, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Denison with Father Donald Perschall officiating. Friday, December 10, 1954 pg 2 Funeral services were held at St. Luke's Episcopal church Friday morning for William Baylor Watson, 6 year of son of Mrs. Doll Lenderman Watson, 1401 W. Main. Father David Jones officiated and interment was in Fairview cemetery with Bratcher-Moore funeral directors in charge. The child was killed instantly in a two car crash at the corner of Tone and Gandy Tuesday afternoon when thrown from a car driven by his mother. The driver of the other car was Mrs. Jean Lucas, 415 E. Morton. Will was a first grade student in Miss Romie Sommerville's room at Central Ward School He was born in Houston, August 14, 1948. His father. Lt. Fayden Douglas Watson, was killed in a plane crash several years ago. Survivors are his mother, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Lenderman, Mrs. Mattie Watson, Amarillo, and his great-grandmother, Mrs. Polly Lenderman, Denison.
