Friday, March 15, 1946 pg 6 Funeral services for Mrs. E. W. Easterly were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Bratcher-Moore parlors with Rev. Guy E. Purdue officiating. Interment was at Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Easterly died at the Madonna Hospital following an extended illness. Born Feb. 14, 1889 near Moberly, Mo., she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Vincent. With her parents, she came to Texas at the age of nine years, the family taking up residence near Bells. Formerly Miss Ora M. Vincent, she was married to Eugene W. Easterly in December of 1906 at a rural church south of Ambrose and the newlyweds came immediately to Denison where Mr. Easterly was employed in the Katy Railroad shops. The Easterly home for some 35 years, has been at 131 West Murray. Mrs. Easterly had been a member of Trinity Methodist Church for many years. Surviving are her husband, a carpenter here; two sons, Master Sgt. Douglass P. Easterly, now at home on re-enlistment furlough after overseas service and Claude Easterly, 522 West Acheson, editor of the Herald, a grandson, David Easterly; her mother, Mrs. J. M. Vincent, Denison; four brothers, Jack Vincent, Farmersville, Herman Vincent, Roswell, N.M., Orbus Vincent, Lubbock, and Bill Vincent, Bells, and six sisters, Mrs. W. H. Vest, Mrs. E. R. Vest and Mrs. Clifton Herriage, Denison, Mrs. Tom Dickerson, Anthony, Mrs. Roethel Bell, Sherman and Mrs. Vallie Duncan of O'Brien, Texas.
