DENISON - Funeral for Owen Lee Miller, 85, 816 W. Woodard, lifelong Denison resident who died Monday in a Denison nursing home, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Bratcher Chapel, with the Revs. Joe D. Ray and Dale Gore officiationg. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Miller was born Dec. 7, 1904, in Grayson County, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Miller. He received his education in Denison and married Mabel Peterman in 1940 in Ardmore. Miller was employed by KO&G and Katy railroads for 29 years. He played professional baseball for the Internation League for 12 years. Miller was a member of the First Baptist Church of Silo.
Surviving are his wife; and sister, Mrs. Frank Houghton Jr. of MIdland.
Pallbearers will be J. H. Fairbanks, Miller Houghton, John Houghton, Jay Gold, Dan Smith, Ralph Covington, M. J. Crenshaw, and Euwin H. MIller.
The family will be the funeral home from 7 to 8 tonight.
