She died at Sherman Healthcare Center. She was the daughter of Ules Levi and Letha Ann Harris Smith of Colbert, Okla. Donnie married John Wesley Armstrong, Jr. on March 15, 1941.
Donnie was survived by her beloved family, daughters, Barbara Smith of Denison, JoAnn Aynes and husband Ed Aynes of Denison; and son, Tim "TJ" Armstrong and wife Devon Armstrong of Denison; grandsons, Michael Smith of Dallas and Jason Armstrong of Melissa; and five granddaughters, Joy Brooks and husband, Jerry Brooks of Denison, Suzanne Cox and husband, Michael Cox of Bells, Tammy Watkins of Denison, Michelle Alverson and husband Drew Alverson of Bells and Brandi Jacobs of Sherman; great-grandchildren, Dakota Brooks of Denison, Paisley Watkins of Denison, Shea Alverson of Bells, Cassie and Sydney Smith of Dallas, Johnathan Cox of Bells, Reagan Armstrong of Melissa; and brother, Winford A. D. Smith of Denison; and special daughter-in-law, Janet Miller of Bells who was her loving caregiver, as well as many nieces and nephews.
