CONDENSED HOME NEWS
Silas Albright, said to be 90 years of age, died recently near Double Springs, Chickasaw Nation.  Fifty years ago, while Albright was trapping on the Canadian river, he was captured by a war party of Comanches.   A set of false teeth saved his life.  When surrounded  by a large t hrong of Indians, he took out his teeth a nd held them up to t he astonished gaze of the Indians.  They declared that he was "a big medicine man" and he was adopted into the family of a chief.  After being in captivity 2 years, he escaped to a party of U.S. dragoons on the old Santa Fe trail en route to New Mexico.
