OUR NEIGHBORS
Alec. McLish, of San Bois county, Choctaw nation, was in the city Monday.
Mr. Phillips, one of the leading business men of the Choctaw nation was in the city.
Alvan Duncan, a saw-mill man of the Choctaw nation, was in the city the latter part of the week.
Mr. Jas. Harris, son of ex-Governor Harris of the Choctaw nation was in the city Friday.
Hon. Ben Smallwood, who will probably be the next governor of the  Choctaw nation, was in the city, having some manuscript set up in Choctaw at Murray 's Steam Printing House.
R.E. Benson, merchant of Mayhew, Choctaw nation, was in the city Thursday and purchased bills of goods from M. Waller & Co., Hanna, Platter & Waples, and Guiteau & Waldron.  Mr. Benson called at the Gazetteer office and renewed his subscription.
Joe Bryant, the efficient sheriff of Blue county, Choctaw nation, was in the city the latter part of the week.
Abner Harris, a well-known resident of the eastern part of the Choctaw  nation was in the city Monday.
Mr. Ainsworth, timber inspector of the Choctaw nation, was on our streets last Wednesday.
Joe Perry, the well known cattle man of the Chickasaw and Choctaw nations, was in the city Wednesday.  Joe states that his little son was accidentally shot in the leg by a farm hand.  The wound was very slight.
