The order in Texas is composed of about 25 organizations, all of which are in a most flourishing condition, and scarcely a month passes without the formation of a new society. At the meeting at Austin our fellowtownsman, Mr. F. Klopp, was chose first vice-president. The order is for benevolent purposes and is doing much and lasting good for its members. On the death of a member the family receives $1000, and besides this the widow and children are given, as much so as possible, the care and protection extended by the husband. On the death of the wife the family receives $200. The Denisonbranch, Widukind Lodge, No. 9, has been organized something over 8 months and is in excellent financial and physical strenght, adding constantly to its membership.
