The 11th anniversary of the Colored Odd Fellows of Denison was celebrated on Tuesday,   During the day the principal streets of Denison were paraded by the group and at night a banquet and ball were held at Munson Hall.  (The Sunday Gazetteer, Sunday, December 21, 1890, pg.3)

The colored Odd Fellows of Denison celebrated the 15th anniversary of the organization of the lodge last night by giving a grand ball and cake walk.  The event was also enjoyed by visiting delegations from neighboring towns.  George Brown and George Martin secured the prizes for the most stylish promenade.
