Sunday, December 23, 1894 pg. 4 LOCAL CONDENSATIONS Thursday, December 20 Tal Mixon and David Williams, two colored lads, were before Justice Pearson this evening charged with malicious michief - riding and driving horses at night without the knowledge and consent of the owners - David Williams was discharged, but Tal was remanded to jail in default of the payment of a fine of $10 and costs of suit. Ben Giles, colored, indicted over a year ago for theft from the person, but who escaped from the officers, was rearrested last night by Deputy Sheriff Preston and lodged in jail.
