June 11, 1891 SHERMAN, Tex., June 10 - ....Tate Patterson, colored, has been engaged in the work of gathering up help today to clean off and beautify the portion of the graveyard set apart for the colored race. He said he was getting along very nicely, but thought if THE NEWS would tell them in the morning that it was a duty they ought not to neglect that it would help him out a great deal.
