B. Farr, 78, of Collinsville died Sunday, March 8, at the Wilson N.
Jones Regional Health Systems in Sherman. Funeral services were
held Tuesday, March 10, at 2 pm at the First Baptist Church of
Collinsville. Rev. Jerry Davis officiated and Rev. A.W. Blaine
assisted. Pallbearers were Larry Bice, Larry Millson, Charles
Child, Greg McDonnell, Gary Patterson, and Roger McDaniel.
Interment was held at Ethel Cemetery in Grayson County. Mr. Farr was born on September 2, 1919 in Collinsville to the late Ernest and Fredricka Howe Farr. He married Aline Walker on July 23, 1941 in El Paso. He was a farmer and a World War II Army veteran. He was a graduate of Texas Tech University. He was a member of First Baptist Church of collinsville. He is survived by his wife, Aline Farr of Collinsville; three sons, Joe Farr, Jr. of Celina, Jerry Farr of Ft. Worth, and John Farr of Collinsville; one daughter, Dana Johnson of Grand Prairie; one brother, Alton Farr of Hereford; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
