  Janie "San Juanita" Thompson 31 January 1941 - Bobby Dan Thompson 8 December 1932 - 23 January 2015 wed 8 September 1962  Funeral services for Bobby Dan Thompson, 82, of Dallas, Texas were held Wednesday morning, January 28, 2015 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, Whitesboro, with Pastor Jim Henvey officiating. Interment followed at Ethel Cemetery. He died Friday, January 23, 2015 at St. Paul Hospital, Dallas. Meador Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. He was born December 8, 1932 in Collinsville, son of Melvin and Gladys Burgin Thompson. He married Janie Rocha on September 8, 1962 in Odem, Texas. He and Janie enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Besides Janie, his other love was the Nazarene Church, having been a member for 45 years. He enjoyed studying the Bible and being a carpenter and builder, just as his Creator, Jesus. He is survived by his wife of Dallas; son, Brad Allen Thompson of Dallas; daughter, Darla Thompson, of Austin. Pallbearers were Dean Overall, Gary O'Pry, Vaughn Thompson, Scott Blomberg, Ranual Bocanegra, Jr., David Rocha, Andres Rocha and Greg Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ted Thompson, Donald Thompson, and Billy Thompson; sisters, Lois Blomberg and Leta Vannoy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Dallas Church of the Nazarene, 10303 Webb Chapel Rd.
