23 February 1940 Claude Hill Dies Suddenly Special to the News Gunter, Texas, Feb 22 - Funeral for Claude Hill, 48, who died suddenly Wednesday, following a heart attack at his home six miles northwest of Gunter, will be held Friday afternoon at his residence. Burial will be in Ethel Cemetery. Hill was born in Hunt County Sept. 4, 1891, a son of John and Eliza Hill. He had lived in Grayson County about thirty years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Hill; a son, Aude Bee Hill; his mother, Dallas; six brothers, L.D. Hill and Burnett Hill, Denison; Walter Hill, Archie Hill and Jessie Hill, all of Dallas; and Charles Hill, Lamesa, and three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Walden, Celina; Mrs. William Norman, Smithville, and Mrs. Iva Watson, Pittsburg.
