James Tucker Taylor 6 January 1894 - 7 July 1963 Willie Lue Taylor 20 July 1893 - 19 June 1968 Sherman Democrat Wednesday, June 19, 1968 Mrs. Willie Taylor GUNTER - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the College Hill Church of Christ here for Mrs. Willie Lou Taylor, 74, native of Grayson County, who died early Wednesday in the Home for Aged here. Wayne Lowe, minister of the church, and M. E. Blake, superintendent of the home, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Elliott Cemetery, near Gunter, directed by Scott Funeral Home, Celina. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Taylor was born July 20, 1883, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Thornton. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are: a son, Bill Leslie Taylor of Sherman; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Cromer of Van Alstyne, and Mrs. Mary Lee Howell of Gunter; four brothers, Hansel, Valk and Cecil Thornton of Van Alstyne and Joe Thornton of Howe; two grandchildren, Danny Taylor of Sherman and Mrs. Jan Picard of Plano; and two great-grandchildren.
