Dripping Springs
To The Democrat
Dripping Springs, Oct. 21 - The funeral of Mrs. J.F. Todd was held at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock; services by Rev. Hollums of Sherman.  Interment in the Dripping Springs Cemetery.  It was the longest procession seen here for a long time.  A number of friends of the family from both Sherman and Denison were in attendance.

Veteran Dies

James Frankland Todd, almost 92 years of age, a veteran of the Civil war and for 74 years a resident of Grayson county, died at
9:30 o'clock Thursday morning in a veterans hospital in Austin where he had been for the past two weeks.  The body was brought
to Sherman, arriving here at 10:40 o'clock Friday morning, and was taken to the home of Thomas F. Todd, 1015 East Cherry street, where he had made his home for many years.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Dripping Springs church.  The Rev. S.F. Ross, pastor of East Sherman Baptist church, will conduct the services.  Talley Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.  Interment will be in the Dripping Springs cemetery.  Pall bearers will be grandsons.  There are 29 living grandsons and 19 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Todd is survived by three sons, Henry L. and Tom Todd of Sherman and LaFayette Todd of Olympia, Wash.; three daughters,
Mrs. Mary Hefton of Sherman, Mrs. Maggie Rice of Colbert, Okla., and Mrs. Nana Profidd of Sweetwater.  Solon T. Todd of Sherman, son of Henry L. Todd of Sherman, is a grandson.
