COLLINSVILLE – Funeral services for Patsy Ruth Adams, 79, will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Pastor Danny Shavers officiating. Interment will follow the service at Dixie Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
She passed away on November 20, 2011 in Denison, Texas.
Patsy Adams was born on June 24, 1932 to Odis E. and Mattie Ruth (Williams) Goodin in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She married Jim Adams on August 22, 1988 in Collinsville, Texas. She was of the Baptist faith. She spent her life taking care of her family and was always a “do-er”. She loved them dearly and her family always came first.
She is survived by her son, Danny David Thompson of Collinsville, TX; brothers, Odis Goodin of Laughlin, NV; and Billy C. Goodin; Sharon Kring of Sherman, TX; nieces: Debbie Russell of Sherman, TX; and Sheila Johnson and husband, Paul, of Collinsville, TX; nephews: Gary Lawson and wife, Cindy, of Hobbs, NM; and Doyle Lawson and wife, Brenda of Big Springs, TX; cousins: Cecile McInnis, Tom Goodin and Dale Goodin; as well as many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Odis and Mattie Goodin; her son Tommy Neal Thompson; brother, Charles Goodin; sisters: Jewel Christine Skurlock and Dorothy Jean Lawson; and her husband, Jim Adams.
Pallbearers will be Paul Johnson, Gary Lawson, Doyle Lawson, Justin Lawson, Tony Russell, Geoffray Kring.
