August 20, 1981 pg. 2 FUNERAL Services for Mike Smith, 72-year-old operator of an automotive repair shop in Dallas were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 1981 in the Huff Chapel in Whitesboro. Rev. Joe Ed Goolsby of the First Methodist Church of Whitesboro officiated with burial in Dixie Cemetery. Smith died Thursday, Ausut 13, 1981, in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Smith was born in Van Alstyne, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Smith and married Jaetta Peterson May 16, 1979 in Whitesboro. He was a member of the Gordonville Lodge No. 536. Surviving are his wife of Gordonville; a stepson, Dr. David C. Coleman, of Denton; sisters, Wilma Smith of Howe and Erma Walker of Whitewright; and 3 grandchildren.
