- Gainesville, Texas, Jan. 16 - The funeral of the Rev. Wiliam A.
Souther, 59, who died at the home of Dr. C.E. Brewer here, was held in
the Dixie Baptist Church, north of Whitesboro. The Rev. J.H.
Pitts of Dallas and the Rev. V.F. King of Sherman officiated, with
burial there. Mr. Souther was born in Illinois in 1872 and
resided nine miles north of Callisburg. He is survived by his
wife and five children.
