February 23, 1965 Denison JP Rules Suicide In Shooting of Woman, 38 Denison, Tex., (Sp.) - Mrs. Harold A. Shoemaker, 38, wife of a fireman for the MK&T Railroad, was found shot to death at her home here Monday. She was found by her 8-year-old son, Tommy, when he came home from school. A .410 gauge shotgun was under her body, which was on her bed. Justice of the Peace J. R. DeBusk returned an inquest verdict of death by self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Mrs. Shoemaker was president of the Central Ward P-TA and a member of the Catholic Church. In addition to her husband and son, Tommy, she is survived by two other children, Danny Shoemaker and Susan Shoemaker, both high school students.
