GEORGE MILLER SUICIDES
Aged Farmer Fires Load of Buckshot Through His Heart Today

George Miller, aged 70 years, while in a fit of despondency shot and killed  himself at the home of his son-in-law, Adam Hornbeck, 3 miles north of Denison - at 12 o'clock today. The shooting occurred while the rest of the family were at dinner and the weapon used was a double barrel breech-loading shotgun.  The old man placed the muzzle of the gun against his heart and pulling the trigger sent a load of buck shot crashing through the body.  No one else was in the room when the shot was fired.
The family rushed
into the room to find the aged man lying in a pool of blood and life extinct.
Mr. Hornbeck notified his neighbors and Coroner French was summoned to view the body.  It is said that Mr. Miller had been ill during the past
week and that he was very despondent.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Hornbeck, with whom  he resided for the past 2 years.
