"I'd rather see you go in the arms of your angels
Than to keep you right here with me
I'll meet you on the other side of the Jordan
Now let you soul go free..."

On Thursday night, July 15, 2021, William Henry Moffett Jr. - Billy - left in the arms of angels and went where we all will soon join him.  He was a good husband, a good father, a good son, a good brother, a good friend....Billy was a just, good man. All of us who were fortunate to have him in our lives feel the loss.  All of us who have "that laugh" ringing in our ears now will never forget
it.  There was no laugh like his.  It was genuine...it was unforced...it was Billy's.  He was born
April 9, 1965.
Billy is survived by his wife,  JoJo Moffett; his son, William Moffett, III; his daughter, Sara Moffett  - all of Howe; his mother Latane Matthias of Van Alstyne, Texas; sister, Lola McKinney and husband, Hopper, of Calera, Oklahoma; sister, Mary Atkins and husband, Mark, of Van Alstyne; several nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-niece; and his extended family -  brother-in-law, Aubrey Martin and wife, Shelley, of Sherman, Texas; and sister-in-law. Edna Brady and husband, David, of Paris, Texas.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Matthias; his sister, Frankie Griffith; and his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Billy and Sara Martin.
Services were held Thursday afternoon, July 22, 2021 at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne, Texas. Rev. Duane Peters of Inspiration Point Cowboy Church in Tom Bean officiated.  His remains were cremated.

Farewell fine people
We'll meet again
In a better time and place
A look toward the Heaven
When I cross your mind
You just might see my face
On a cloud...looking down!
