Betty C. Mitchell, age 80, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus Friday, November 26, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.
Betty was born August 17, 1936 in Denison, Texas to Fannie and Henry Coffin.  She met and married the love of her life, Haskell W. Mitchell, June 25, 1952 in Denison, Texas.
Betty was a hard working woman first at Denison Cotton Mill and then at Katy Hospital, Bonham VA and TMC as an RN.  She later earned her second Bachelors Degree and Masters, she became a Nurse Practioner, later a Social Worker and finally achieving a certificate to teach water aerobics.  She was a very loving, kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Betty leaves behind her beloved husband of 64 years; son, Rodney Mitchel and wife, Sonya; and son, Tim Mitchell; grandsons, Bradley Mitchell and Brandon Mitchell; great-grandson, Tyler and great-granddaughter, Kyndell; and best friend, Connie  Holland.
She was preceded in death by her parents and great-grandson, Kyle Mitchell whom she loved very much.
Betty was cremated according to her wishes.  A Memorial Service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Red River Cowboy Church with Rev. Novice Northington officiating. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Esteem Hospice.
Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Denison.
