Jimmie A. Larkin, Sr., 87, resident of Pottsboro, Texas, went to his heavenly home on August 16, 2022. Jim was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 29, 1934 and relocated to Dallas, Texas with his parents when he was 2 years old.
Jimm was married to his first wife, Betty, and together they had 4 children: Debra "Debbie"; Jimmie Allen "Beau, Jr.; Michael; and David.  Jim met his second wife, Marcia, who had 2 children in 1970 and married her in 1976.   Jim took over the role of father for Marcia's 2 children, Dawn and Warren.  Jim and Marcia raised their 6 children together, spending many summers in New Hampshire on Great East Lake.
Jim enjoyed taking apart any electronic equipment just to see how it worked.  This is how he started his career in television repair.   His love of electronics led him to join the U.S. Coast Guard in 1955.  After Jim left the Coast Guard, he worked for General Electric.  When he left General Electric, he went to work of EF Johnson.   He traveled all over the world for EF Johnson as he was one of the top salesmen for the company.  His job with EF Johnson transferred him to the small town of Waseca, Minnesota in 1982.  After leaving EF Johnson, Jim and Marcia owned 2 roller skating rinks in Fairbault and Waseca.  Jim enjoyed working with his children at the roller skating rinks.  When Jim and Marcia sold the skating rinks, they started Flex Comm Security in Waseca.  Jim worked for the company until he retired in 2012.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph, Sr. and Maryland; his sisters, Buddy and Ginger; brother, Joseph, Jr.; and daughter, Debbie.
Jim is survived by his wife, Marcia; 5 of his children: Beau and wife, Patty; Michael and wife, Jackie; David and wife Peggy; Dawn and husband, Jim; Warren and wife, Donna; and his son-in-law, Robert.  Jim is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jim's wishes were to be cremated with private family services.  In lieu of flowers, Jim would like to have donations sent to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Texas.  Jim was a  Masonic member since 1963 and loved the work that they do for the children.  Donations can be sent in Jim's memory to Shriners Children's Texas, 815 Market St., Galveston, Texas 77550.
