DENISON REALTOR FATALITY

Denison - Ethel M. Homer, prominent Denison realtor, was killed Tuesday afternoon in a one-car accident two miles west of New Hope, Arkansas, on U.S. 70.
The Arkansas Highway Patrol said Miss Homer of 808-1/2 West Crawford, apparently lost control of her car and it struck a culvert. 
She reportedly was enroute to Hot Springs, Arkansas, to visit friends.

Funeral for Miss Homer was Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Waples Memorial United Methodist Church under the direction of Bratcher Funeral Home.  Rev. Robert E. Langley officiated.  The body was cremated.
A native of Baker, Arkansas, Miss Homer came to Denison about 40 years ago from New  Hampshire, where she was in charge of a large estate there, her nephew, George Homer, said.
Miss Homer, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nim Rod Homer, Sr. worked for Munson Realty for 40 years, retiring in 1970.  She was
a member of Waples Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Nim Homer, of Denison; and a nephew, George Homer.
